An 11 year old that took his own life

In my community, almost a week ago, an 11 year old took his own life. He was being bullied online and at school so he decided to get his father's gun and commit suicide. The family has been given til the end of April to come up with $6,000 to cover funeral expenses. There has been a site set up to raise money to help the family out. They are almost to their goal but I wanted to post a link here incase any of you here on clraik felt the need or want to give as well.

I know this is a lot to ask since this little boy is a complete stranger to you but I figured I could try to get the word out as best as possible to help this family out in such a tragic time.

I am happy to answer any questions that you may have. I was somewhat close to the family since my little sister is very close friends with the boy's older sister, I've kept up with the details. Regardless though, this is a family in need.

aw that's pretty sad. shame on those that bullied him. that poor boy should learn to stand up for himself instead of being so selfish and escaping by committing suicide, leaving his family in a mess.

That is true but when you're 11 I suppose you don't really think like that.

That's horrible, and at 11 there's a lot going through their minds and may seem like no solution to the problem. I'm sorry for his family and friends.

I've seen what goes on the internet, I won't allow my daughter on a computer unsupervised till she's 18.

I don't have children yet but I know that I will be very strict with their use of the internet and any type of social media until they are at an age where they have a better grasp of their emotions.

My mind boggles that this is how somebody reacts to the news that an 11-year-old has killed themself.

11 is really really young =/ This is so terrible.... Worst is probably not him, but the the persons that bullied him.

This is just awful.

Last year a 14 year old boy in my school jumped from the roof of a block of flats because he was being bullied about kissing another boy as a dare. His father killed himself at the beginning of this year. The community is still reeling from such a huge loss and so I know how you feel.

My thoughts are with you, your family and the boy's family. I will advertise this link online and try to help raise some money.
