If you do transactions rather quickly, as if you gain the money, then send it to your bank, it will make them suspicious and then you'll be limited. It can also be random, I've read of stories where people who have been customers of PP for years have been limited out of random. It's really an unfortunate circumstance.

Also, it should state why you were limited.

My cousin was limited, without an appeal, for the reason being "We need a little bit more information about some money you recently received or withdrew".

When he tried to contact them regarding the limitation, they were unwilling to correspond and stated that it could be up to 180 days till it is resolved.

This is why I prefer using WU - although the fees are kind of a nuisance.

Did you empty all your money from your Prepaid Visa to the PP account or simply linked it?

I would start by calling the number on the card or using the online service to find your available balance on your card.

Also, was the PP account filled with accurate information or was it false? Do they allow you to appeal the limitation? What was their reason to limit your PP?

Call the Paypal support number, then explain that you have been limited. Confirm all the information and state that you provided only your first intial to your last name and request a change. They won't lift the limit to your account until your last name is fixed. The issue of where you are limited could be due to your last name being an initial since it asks for your "legal last name". Once Paypal confirms your identity, they will change your last name to your legal last name. Once that is complete, ask what information you need to upload into the Resolution Center/fax to them to lift the limits. Make sure you send the necessary documents to them. Once all information is uploaded/sent, call the support team and ask if there's any way for the information to be verified immediately to remove the limit placed onto the account.

If you don't want to provide all the details, they won't lift the limits, you're going to have to start a new account, although it will be hard because they could limit your next account if they notice that the information is similar/exact to your limited account.
