That and cheating. When I started playing Neopets back in the day I was never a play-it-by-the-book kinda person. I started by earning NP and items on "side" accounts. Now I buy pets and stuff and play on accounts that I didn't create and it makes me feel like a naughty kid all over again.

For sure. I've always cheated, and I've lost a huge amount of accounts since 2001. My only regret in all of it is that I had a running Neopian Times comic series that was pushing me to be a better artist, but I couldn't bring myself to continue it after I lost my main. I often think about starting it up again, but I think that my audience is gone.

It did! If it weren't for Neopets, I wouldn't have wanted to build a website of my own and make art and animations for it. That website became a regular hobby, which launched my programming career! All thanks to that silly, wonderful site.

honestly I don't get any joy in Neopets and haven't for like 3 years+. I'd say about the closest I get is the feeling when you initially get into a raided account, but that's so time consuming that I rarely do it anymore.

That and three different video games came out in like a month and a half and I'm way behind. Looking at you Black Ops IV, Red Dead 2 and Spyro Reignited Trilogy.
