Unconverted/retired petpet question

I have not been able to find an answer to this on neocord or reddit or here, but if I rename an unconverted/retired petpet, will that convert the petpet?

Does anyone know the limits to what you can and cannot do with UC P2s? I know detaching it will automatically convert it, but how sensitive are these things? On Grave Danger they appear as their converted counterparts.

I want to say maybe you can reword this a bit and ask the Editorial, but TNT usually sticks to not answering good questions lol.

I'm afraid that reminding TNT that UC P2s exist risks a forced conversion. My understanding is that the spooky P2s were retired and converted because for intellectual property reasons, because the designs were too generic (don't quote me on that) so if current TNT sees the designs they might panic and convert them all in one fell swoop.

While TNT is inundated with other site issues, I will enjoy my little Fat Cat.

I've renamed plenty of uc petpet no issues

I renamed a UC petpet and nothing happened to it either. The petpet's name is just arbitrary HTML and has nothing to do with the petpet's onsite item ID.
