as someone who participated in the upset i can 100% say it's not because we hate Brutes-- it's because we're spiteful towards the guild for how they've been treating others as of late.

some guild members have been treating others badly and just straight up insulting and name-calling people who don't do their recommended 50 battles each week. i will say that it's not all guild members, but it's enough to leave a bad taste in a lot of folks' mouths.
most of this behaviour has gone on in their guild discussions, as well as in the r/Neopets discord server.

This sounds like truly toxic behaviour, but I doubt that losing this round (or two) will really change the state of things. Instead they may justify their behaviour and actually believe that we only lost this week because some players were not doing their recommended 50 battles each week.

actually, there was a discussion that took place between a guild admin and another upsetter and it seemed to go well, but only time will tell! hopefully they'll see how their actions have affected others

Well that seems a lot more optimistic than I thought. I do have to imagine how severe the situation was/how much grudge there was, for someone to do 12K battles just to prove a point lol.
