Quick question about proxies/VPNs and account location?

So, let's say I live in Kentucky (I do not). Pretend I bought an account that had previously been accessed with a proxy or VPN that made it seem like it was located in Kentucky, regardless of where the seller actually accessed the account.

Would it be suspicious or not to access the account from my real (identical to original proxy/VPN) location WITHOUT using a proxy or VPN?

How does this work? I'm new to this, any information or insight is greatly appreciated!

For me, I have always used proxies to simulate the location that the profile says on Neopets if I know in advance. I use that location for a month or two, and then if all goes well, I chat about moving in my neomails/guild and then 'move' and begin using it on my real ip if it's going to be my main. Kind of depends on the account history really, but to me if you're securing an account to use as your main, then the same state should be fine I would think personally. My main was bought here and it's still active. I do light cheating on it even and no issues so far. Been over a year. If you do nonsensical things like throw a bunch of items/UC's on there right away, I would think that would set off more alarms than a change in IP. I may be completely wrong, but to me it's always seemed like if you don't give TNT a reason to notice you, you're better off.

Thank you so much for your detailed response! This makes a lot of sense. I was specifically thinking about getting an account to use as a side for an account I use on my real ip, so I was hoping to find a matching state.

Thank you for all the tips, I really appreciate it as I'm trying to be smart about all of this.

I was an idiot with the first couple of accounts I got (shells that came with items I bought off shopneopia, from various locations around the world). I used them straight up in the same IP as my main, doing dailies and earning NP. After about a month I realised I was being stupid and moved them all onto their own IPs that I bought. But none of them got frozen, even though I could've been caught either from the multi-accounting or from the account suddenly moving country. So, like Revelation said:

Just be careful. If your real location is also in the US I can't imagine you would have any issues. But I reckon try and avoid multi-accounting on the same IP.
