I never had such a glitch. Its kinda weird though tbh.

I logged onto my legit main today and found a different pet as my active. It's my pet but I almost always have the same pet on my account as my active and she wasn't, it was one of my others. I checked and nothing is missing from my account and I changed my password just in case.
Is this some Neopets glitch or should I be worried?

I don’t personally know anyone who account raids solely to switch peoples active pets. But I suppose such a person could exist.
Chances are a RE or some sort of event changed it, I think certain things can do that? Idk.
Don't forget to check the email associated with the account to make sure its still yours, then update that password as well! Can't hurt to be extra cautious!

Yeah that's how I feel about it. Like...I've got lots of different kinds of things worth stealing on that account. But nothing was taken or changed. Just had the wrong active. I"m wondering if I accidentally clicked something before I logged off and changed actives?? I don't know...I just don't know how else it could've happened.

Yes, that was the first thing I checked and it's still mine. Thank you though!

I had it happen a few weeks ago. It was odd but nothing went missing.
I always have my battle pet active and it switched it to my lab rat o.o;

Perhaps someone got in, saw that you were active and left.
There are also some userscripts that switch your active pet for underwater fishing iirc. I'm not sure how Stealth Core manages this process, but if you stop them mid-way through I could see the potential that your active pet would change. Otherwise, I would say just re-secure your account for safe measure.

Do you have a pin on the places your valuables are in/on trading? Could be that a would-be thief knew your password but not your pin. I'd agree with the sentiments on changing your password to be safe though!
That being said, if it's a glitch, I wouldn't be surprised either- there has been talk of people's avatars being switched after attaining new ones, so active pet switching... Maybe.
Side note, did you perhaps have Premium end? That would be my guess as to what would have caused it, since that deals with the amount of pets on an account.

I think it's just a glitch but everyone saying check your email and check your password is right, you should double-check to make sure.
I feel like if it was a real hacker they'd do something more malicious than just swap your active pet, though.
