I always thought some players were cheating, even when I first started in 2000. When I joined clraik, it just confirmed it. I got no problem with it of course but it made me realized I was wasting my time for trying to be legit. I got a life to live so I couldn't sit on neo for hours (and I didn't want to). So, I thank those people for showing me the way to cheat.

If using QoL userscripts count as cheating, then I'd reckon a good amount of people do cheat. If we also consider "most" players as being casual players with not a whole lot of activity other than the occasional plot, then I guess we could say those guys are legit. People with more high profile achievements probably have cheated at least once in some minor way; or else you'd have to be super dedicated.

I think in the current neopets "economy", you HAVE to cheat if you want to be an elite. Getting those hard to get items in shops legit, it seems impossible. How do you outspeed a program? It just doesn't seem doable to me.

I feel like a lot of users on Neopets are very legit, but most of the "top" players are clearly cheaters and it's mostly given away by the way they carry themselves, and call out other people.
And I'm sorry but these accounts younger than 6 months with stamp avatars? Stop even trying to deny it you're better off.
