I'm kind of scared, it seems low to ask for Paypal information and terrorize people like this.
It's not like we're doing something illegal, or even making TNT lose money, since you can't buy UCs on-site anyway. The only people impacting their wallets are NC sellers, but it's so minor and it wouldn't happen nearly as often if they fixed their own transaction issues.
See, that's what I'm most interested in hearing about.
If TNT is asking about contact information it's got me wondering what exactly they wanna do right.
Am I supposed to expect an email from them? I dunno
Are they gonna swat me, and am I gonna be on the next huge youtube video? I dunno
I don't see them going to any real extreme's, but obviously if they ask for contact information they can find a Paypal under a lot of circumstances and a lot of other stuff.
Really got me wondering what's up
It might be worth sending in a ticket on one of the accounts you, me or someone else lost this week and seeing if they ask. Set up a dummy paypal and give them that info and see what happens.
Maybe if a few of us did it and all gave the same fake paypal e-mail it would push their buttons a bit more and they might do whatever it is they plan on doing a bit quicker with a few reports. At least we'd have more of a chance of finding out.
Personally can't see them doing shit. I doubt they can justify the cost of starting any kind of legal proceedings. They might drop you a strongly worded e-mail telling you that they have your details and to stop, but how they can even know the details they have are genuine I don't know.
I'd just like to point out that, legally, there's nothing TNT can do. The law isn't on their side. If they attempt to harass users for cheating, they'd put themselves in some hot water. No government is going to uphold the rules of a gaming website in court. Hell, they barely do that with gambling and finance websites. What they're doing is shit, but, unless they plan to break laws, there's nothing they can do with users' personal info other than ban them from the site.

i guess it kinda does go against the tos of neopets which paypal might be interested in, but still, it seems ..... kinda pointless
and if theyre seeking your paypal info to doxx you then like.... thats illegal LOL

ya. paypal would get its ass kicked if it came out that it was giving out personal info over people selling virtual pets and items. like, that hurts basically nobody to begin with, and the only real problem with it is on-site snitches and people going too far (attacking actives etc.)
and yeah, paypal wont even help me change my display name to my real name instead of my old name before i got it legally changed, even when i send them photocopies of a literal actual deed poll in amongst the 600 documents they ask for. theyre incompetent at best, so helping a company ruin lives over virtual currencies would no doubt be throwing stones in glass houses.

I mean they honestly can't do anything if it's happening off of their site.. If they could, I don't think black market sites would be around. Tony P is a rude cock sucker.
Besides, what would they even say? People are buying pixels for $$$? lol

I really only think that they could/would:
A.) contact you and ask you to stop with a scarily worded but useless e-mail.
B.) as @(you need an account to see links) said, check if that e-mail is linked to any Neo accounts.
