Nothing like internet hype to get you to watch a movie....

It shouldn�t have been a surprise that I was disappointed. In particular I am talking about the movie Veronica that is now on Netflix.

This movie came across my social media feed as being the scariest movie today and that it has been so frightening that people are having to turn it off part way through.

Given my love for a little scare now that then I was all for watching is movies! So tonight the hubby is on nights so I cuddled up with my cat and turned in Veronica.....

While it had some suspense it definitely was not a movie that is so scary you would have to turn it off.

I think more of the suspense was me waiting intently for it to get more scary.

Sadly this movie did not live up to the hype. But, looks like the internet hype worked and they got me to watch it.

Anyone else watch it? What are your thoughts?

The crazy part is babadook actually was creepy about midway through the movie, and they managed to ruin it somehow.

The Babadook was definitely more scary in my opinion. That voice just gives me the heebie jeebies. But I totally agree that they ruined it. For me the ending was terrible and ruined the movie for me. They should have just ended it when it disappeared into the basement. I won’t say anymore in case some people want to watch it still.

I turned it on the other day after some coworkers were going on and on about how rotten tomatoes gave it a 100%. I turned it on after work and wasn’t too down to deal with the subtitles at that point. I’ve heard mixed reviews but it doesn’t sound as scary as people are making it out to be.

I wonder if I wasn’t so focused on subtitles if it would have been more scary?

I find scary movies where kids are being all creepy have a larger impact on me. Maybe because I’d be scared shitless if my kid starting doing those things hahaha! But definitely the Babadook shook me from that standpoint too.

You know personally I haven’t heard a single thing about this movie.

Reading this review however makes me want to watch it even more. Especially subtitles. I’m okay with being disappointed but I’ve found with subtitles I’m more focused on the movie, I miss a lot less this way lol

Spanish speaker here, didn’t read the subtitles, still a crap movie. Not sure what the hype is about?
