How much real money did you spend on Neopets?

In about 16 years, I've paid for about 4 months of premium, and 1 UC pet (which I sold later for more than I paid). So like $30? xD Never getting into NC is what has saved me.

Wayyyyy more than I’m comfortable admitting XD Premium plus at least a $25 card a month... I stopped opening caps altogether, that’s a huge waste. Although since joining ck I’ve been able to save money buying items rather than trying to trade for them with gbcs.

I’m trying to stop buying cards completely; I’d much rather support ck sellers than TNT.

Although I understand the sentiment, I’m sure NC is a big reason why Neopets still exists, I don’t think it’s that bad to support TNT. I don’t because I wouldn’t be too torn up if Neopets went offline, honestly. Once my premium runs out this time I won’t be renewing.

In the near six years I've been back...easily $5k. Between trying to be legit and trading NC, to just buying NC/items off site.

Edit: Also 1 year of Premium per year - always keep to the sale price tho.

I bought 7 UC's in total, all between 40 and 70 dollars. I wish I spent this amount on a little less but higher pets cause there's 4 of these pets that I probably wanna get rid of even though theyre in my top favourites. I guess I just don't want this many UC's cause in my opinion an account full of them looks kind of boring / empty / showy.

So is securing the pets for reselling hard to do? And how do you resell, just advertise them here? And do you put them on shell accounts? I'll look for a topic regarding this but in the maintime I'd love if someone could tell me a little about that process.

In my experience, the UC's that I bought didnt bring any satisfaction at all. It was just "oh, okay, nice" and then I bought another one.
But buying a new account is way more fun, cause it's nice browsing trough them and selling stuff from the SDB costs lots of time so then you got stuff to do. Good thing for when you have no clue what to do on neopets besides trading pets/avvies etc.

it doesnt!!!! �20 of that was spent on nc that i never got!!!! i bought it 3 years ago and they wont look at my ticket so whatever. just helped me quell any Spending Urges i might have because i knew i had better stuff to spend money on that id actually, uh, Receive

Ohh thats so frustrating and I get that after this youre not feeling like spending any more money on this game.

I totally forgot about the legal spent money on NC btw. probably adds a 100 bucks to my total. xD
