I spent around $250 on Neocash cards, mostly in 2010 and 2011. I think I got some as Christmas gifts, and most were bought in various sales. I was starting to feel quite bad about it at the time, and I redeemed my last card in December 2012 and effectively kicked the habit. I trade old items for new ones that come out that I really like when I can, but mostly I am happy with my customization. I used to feel pretty guilty over spending so much on graphics for virtual pets, but it actually seems a bit reasonable now. At the time though my income was not near where it is now, so it was a big chunk of my entertainment budget for those years.
I also had a plushie addiction that was quite intense. I have over 50 plushie KQ tokens, and I have some doubles. I think those originally sold for around $7 or so at Target, I can't remember exactly. So probably another $300 or so in plushies. I've toyed with selling them off but I can never bring myself to do it somehow. They aren't worth near what I paid anyway.
And lastly, I just got into the purchasing UC pet game last fall, and have spent $435 since on a total of just 3 pets. But one of them I am planning to resell because I don't care for the name (nothing wrong with it, VWN, just not my style) and the other one I do really like the name, but just not sure I want that pet either, so I'm trying to decide what to do with it.
So all in all, after over 15 years of playing, I have dropped nearly a grand on Neopets-related expenses. Actually not too bad in my estimation.
I’ve been playing since 2000 or so and probably spent $500 all told. I made that in a single account sale back in 2010 or 2011 when I used to get into accounts and sell UCs. I still have one personal account but I’ll probably sell it before too long.
I used to keep a running tally, but it made me feel empty inside, so I stopped keeping up with it.

Wayyyyy more than I�m comfortable admitting XD Premium plus at least a $25 card a month... I stopped opening caps altogether, that�s a huge waste. Although since joining ck I�ve been able to save money buying items rather than trying to trade for them with gbcs.
I�m trying to stop buying cards completely; I�d much rather support ck sellers than TNT.
