I applied for a pet once in the past (A RB Cybunny). The user gave it to someone else who put him on a side and stopped playing like a month later.
I've logged on at least once a week since then.
That was 6 years ago.
I'm still salty.

Wow people do this! That's so mean to get people worked up like that.

I've applied for many pets (before just giving up and buying the ones I want, lel) and way too many of them decided to keep the pet in the end, or give it to their friend, or disappeared without adopting it out, etc. It's really frustrating to put a ton of work into something like that when your chances of actually getting the pet are slim at best. However, converted pets, unless it's a RW/RN, get maybe 1-2 applicants so I'd say go for it. But applying for UCs is just setting yourself up for disappointment. :')
I've gotta say, though, I've always found the whole "applying" for pets thing so... bizarre. When and why did that even become a thing?

I'm not sure I buy (lol) that most ufa uc's are covering up for a buy. Like, quick adoption boards yeah but it's not that often you see a long process where the pet doesn't go to a pretty intense petpage app, it's way too suspicious doing a long process and 'adopting out' to someone who didn't do shit.
Anyways, for your average converted it's definitely worth a shot. Half the time you're the only person that applied and the person is just thrilled someone wants the pet

i think applications are pretty fun to make! ufa pets are neat because sometimes you might find you're quite fond of something that you wouldn't have liked before.
either way, i don't think it ever hurts to make a little application. some people go really crazy with their apps and feel so certain that they'll get the pet and it causes a lot of trouble when they don't and i never really understood that mindset tbh. whatever you decide to do, don't take it seriously in the end i think lmao.
Haha. I'd rather that too. I'd say so, unless you're asking exclusively about UCs. Then I'd tread with caution, maybe have a base for an UC app so that if its just a cover up for a sale you can reuse it for the next one and save a bit of time.
Obviously I mean change the name and stuff. But don't start from scratch every time, the odds aren't good lol.
I put my heart and soul into an application for a uc grey gelert to only get frozen 1 day past the deadline and the owner didn't read my application....
Person who got the gelert got frozen for stealing art...
I got unfrozen over a year later but i haven't applied for a pet since
Ouch. Do people srsl have a pretend adoption in order to sell a UC? That's so nasty
