VPN Question

I know this may sound like a really stupid question:

If I'm using HideMyAss VPN to have a multi, and I open a program up and run it with the VPN on, it obviously won't relay my actual IP even though it's not using the internet browser right?

lmao. feel bad about having to ask this question. Just want to make sure I won't get iced LOL.

HMA takes over your entire computers network so if it's on, your IP is through HMA for everything.
