I think it's 30 days to change it, I had a Florida license for over a year in West Virginia, I just said I was visiting family when I got pulled over. They don't know how long you've been here.

^that, but every state has different rules about switching your license, but usually you gotta do it within 30-60 days of permanently moving to a new state, i've lived in washington state, oregon, idaho, texas, kansas, iowa, california, nevada, oklahoma, and utah for a short time and i think those are all 30 days? after becoming a state resident?

meh, it shouldn't even cost anything to have it transferred, shoulda done it like a week or so after you got settled or whatever
