What little things make you happy?

In the face of sad depressing stuff that's going on, I figure it'd be nice to indulge in something nice and wholesome.

What are the little things in life that make you happy?

For me, it's when people ask me how my day has been and genuinely am interested in my answer. Some other things that come to mind:

• People holding the elevator door open.
• Cute, soft kittens and puppies.
• The smell of Sharpies (hopefully they're not toxic).
• People giving up their seat on public transport for someone else.
• Burying my face in fresh laundry.
