What little things make you happy?

In the face of sad depressing stuff that's going on, I figure it'd be nice to indulge in something nice and wholesome.

What are the little things in life that make you happy?

For me, it's when people ask me how my day has been and genuinely am interested in my answer. Some other things that come to mind:

• People holding the elevator door open.
• Cute, soft kittens and puppies.
• The smell of Sharpies (hopefully they're not toxic).
• People giving up their seat on public transport for someone else.
• Burying my face in fresh laundry.

For me is when I get home and see my family.

I know it's not something "small" but I'm not gonna lie, that is the one, and only, thing that keeps me going.

• Cute cartoons

- When my dog finds wherever I am in the house and smooshes his face into my lap and gives me this look like he’s saying “Hi mom, I love you”.
- When my boyfriend rolls over in the dead of sleep and clings onto me and won’t let go, even if I’m trying to get up.
- That first fuzzy feeling of putting up Christmas decorations and chilling in the lights and stuff after.
- A good poop
