If you're interested in fantasy type of genres I'd highly suggest

1. The Name of the Wind - Patrick Rothfuss

It's book 1 of a trilogy but the last book hasn't been completed/released which is quite a let down but to be honest I've read most of the fantasy books that are highly known/recommended and if you haven't read this I completely envy you as reading it the first few times is the best time ever!! READ IT!!!

Anything from Johanna Lindsay.
Legend of the Seeker books by Terry Goodkind
Elizabeth Peters has a great mystery series about 1900's era egyptologists and it's incredibly written.

Just started a new to me series by Heather Graham and so far I like it.

I really enjoy books in a series so the characters I read about are still present in the storyline.

His Dark Materials was one of the first series I remember getting massively obsessed with as a child. I'd rent them from the school library and I remember when one of them had already been checked out, I nearly lost it because of how long I would have to wait to get my fix

As a child I read the Wizard oz book series(not sure what they are really called) And I think I read them all in span of a week or two that was at the school library I really dont read these days though
