NetDragon bought JumpStart, not technically just Neopets, although I've read that Neopets was one of the reasons NetDragon was interested in buying JumpStart. But JumpStart still runs Neopets with the same staff they had before being bought out. In a way, it's kind of like Nickelodeon running Neopets while being under Viacom's rule. (How I see it, anyway, and probably not an exact comparison) So, yes, NetDragon owns Neopets because Neopets is under JumpStart and NetDragon owns JumpStart. But JumpStart is not out of the picture and they still run the site.
Also, if you look at KnowledgeAdventure's website, you can clearly see that it's a sub-company of JumpStart. If you go to JumpStart's website, KnowledgeAdventure is listed as a JumpStart game. (scroll down)
Clearly, then, the end goal is to amass enough money to simply downright buy Neopets, huh?
Given its misfortune in being repeatedly passed from poor management to poor management, it would be a downright improvement.
Meanwhile, I'm lamenting the fact that my main battler is a labrat, and her unbalanced stats make her a little bit difficult to train manually.
Hopefully she'll still be useful enough for what's coming up, and it's just a reminder for me to actually maybe work on training a balanced battler for once..
At least it's still pretty reasonable to do plots without too much battling.

Great. ANOTHER Faerieland plot. I agree with what everyone's already said - there's so much abandoned content on the site they could've picked up and used instead... They probably know we're all so desperate for new content, that they can get away with minimal effort.
Even tho I'm crossing my arms and pouting in disappointment right now, I know this will be the event that sucks me back into buying NC.
