do you usually just buy your dream ucs or do you buy for trading fodder? if so, how long do you leave the pet on a shell until its safe to bring them to pc

I personally buy trading fodder and work my way up to what I actually want. You're going to want to sit on a new account for a bare minimum of a week before even breathing in the general direction of the PC. After your waiting period, don't just immediately post the pet UFT; comment on stuff like dreams/goals boards with the pet as your active, and do that for another week or two. Then, you can offer your pet via NMs. After about a month, you should be good to make an UFT post.
what if someone asks you what you traded for in order to get the pet?
i feel like a couple of people on pc know my pets and what i have/dont have

NOT sell my stocks when I should have. Fortunately I'm a pretty clean player so I don't have any naughty stories but I've made many mistakes down the line.
Hahahahaha I would be SO much more interested in the RPing boards if there was more of this.
I haven't done anything too terrible - just the typical selling codestone and paintbrush plushies as actual codestones and paintbrushes when I was a kid. And more recently buying some harder to find NC items offsite. But I always try to legit trade first.
I let it sit till everything seems normal then switch it to another one of my accounts for two months and then another one of my accounts for another 2 months and then start slowly going on the pc with it as my active but not offering it on anything. I'll offer my other uc of something but yeah. After having it active for a few months and offering just about everything but it I then start to offer it.

You can either say a friend got into their old account and gifted or make up a chain yourself.
