What is the most surprisingly stupid/smart thing your pet has ever done?

    One or both examples work.

For me, I had a dog who was stupidly smart as an escape artist. Problem is, she did it to escape and roll around to coat herself in goose shit.

I also had a guinea pig who would try to backflip out of his cage, he'd usually miss the small opening and hurt himself though.

And my current pet, which is my cat, is super freaking smart, instantly figured out the litter box with no trial or error. Just knew what to do. Due to the abusive home she came from she doesn't know how to play either, but damn she's figuring it out pretty quickly. She's still scared of some of her toys though.

My youngest cat tries to jump or fly in his case off things. He actually has a bad leg and I always dive to catch him, He still does it though.

Maybe he just likes the attention of being caught

Its more that he's well skittish to say the least, we believe he has some trauma too. He can get scared very easily, which is why i'm often surprised he does the whole flying thing.

My dog (shih tzu poodle) once climbed up on our kitchen table and knocked off a fresh baked ham. I'm surprised my dad didn't kill her

When we let my dog out, sometimes we won't come in until we yell "come and get some" (treat). Whenever my mom lets her out, my dog purposefully won't come in until she says it so she can get food lol. My mom says it too much.

My dog Heidi loves ice cubes so much that she's learned how to get some ice from the dispenser on the fridge...
