    SAT Question

If i were to take the SAT which includes the essay, and lets say my essay scored poorly. I choose a school that doesnt require the essay, do they still look at it or count it?

If they don't require it, they will see the score but I would imagine that it won't count against you. Admissions counselors are looking for ways to let students into the school, not trying to keep them out.

The SAT essay falls under Writing category. Many schools only look at Reading and Math.
So if they are only looking at Reading and Math, your Writing scores will not count for/against you.
