Yay all the training in my pet will pay off! Time to shine in the BD! I use the water pistol that we got in the last GMC and a I blaster and blend healing potion mostly.. I have a hanso charm, a freeze gun and parasol too so my set should be hot to trot.

If there is a battling aspect to an upcoming plot, I hope it's not that bullshit "everybody gets a trophy" sort of thing. It's that participation trophy mindset that contributes to making the site dull now a days. If you don't have the strong weapons, strong. BD pet, time, or know how to kill strong opponents - then you should get the lower level trophies. It would be cool for some awesome new weapons to come out as plot prizes but I think that may be expecting a little too much?

I agree, Royal, but just as long as it's not the (also slightly stupid) "lose everything if you miss one day" model. I got stuck with a DD participation trophy this year because I thought I'd sent Wednesday's scores on Wednesday, and I hadn't. (I'm surprised I can remember the day.)

Now if they want to give out trophies based on how much you do--as you said, and a la Atlas of the Ancients--then I'd like that.

I'm just being hopeful for a plot where it's not easy-peasy, with your plot points being displayed on your UL, with high amounts of points put in for repeated battling, and time put into the plot

I never bother with the DD, personally, so not sure exactly how that works. However, I don't think a new plot should require you to do something everyday in order to get something past a participation award. Your participation, daily or otherwise, should certainly influence your "ranking" or the kind of trophy you get to some degree though.

I'm pretty hyped, if it really is a plot "curse of maraqua" / "HATIC" / "the return of the Dr sloth" - style, I won't even care if it's not as good, at least they're trying.
