    FIFA World Cup 2018

Is anybody else here watching the World Cup? I know people from North America aren't particularly interested in football (soccer, if I have to translate) although USA already hosted one World Cup (1994) and will co-host with Canada and Mexico the Cup in 8 years. But still, do you watch the games? What are your predictions?
ATM I'm watching Argentina vs Iceland and I'm always for the underdogs so obviously I root for the Icelanders. Argentina has great players like Aguero and Mascherano and one of the greatest in the world, Messi. Iceland made an amazing run at the European Cup and doesn't seem to be intimidated by its opponent. So far, 1:1.
Earlier today France won over Australia and it wasn't easy. I'm impressed by the Aussies

So far, some nice surprises. Argentina's defence is pathetic and Iceland took advantage of it, Germany lost from Mexico and the social media are full of "witty" remarks of how Moscow stopped the Germans once again - it's getting really boring. And Brazil made 1:1 with, wait for it, Switzerland! At the very least it's interesting to watch and I assume some betters who like the risk are cashing a lot of money right now

I agree with everything you said and it's also amazing how the smaller teams have been gaining space in the last few cups.

Talking about smaller teams, what do you think about Croatia? Who could have expected that! I feel a bit sorry for England, isn't it ironic to invent a game and then win only one World Cup in the distant '66?

I'd very much prefer Croatia to win the Cup but I believe France is the better team. Still, this is a great game and nothing is granted.

I watch it with my dad sometimes, generally only when Australia is still in it though. I'm thinking croatia will win the cup, sorry protein ;P
