I didn't know that it was so popular in China. It feels like they are alienating other countries by discontinuing the translations.
Not all of China is wealthy enough to afford a PS4 or whatever. Neopets technically has a ton of content, uses Java or Shockwave and can be played on pretty much any computer. You'll find a surprisingly large amount of active Chinese accounts if you look on the top score boards for example (but not the forums, as I think you get banned for not speaking english.)Originally Posted by Him
Not really, I've seen some players speaking in Spanish/French on the PC and, as far as I know, they weren't banned.
However, a report happy jerk can report you and if JS isn't done with procastinating, you can get a warning.

I miss the counter they used to have for users that were online. I would use that to determine the better times to RS.

i miss that counter too. I remember seeing an article on reddit that had an interview with some JS exec, he said 100K active users still but im unsure if they were counting bots. Buuut i guess all the bots help the site in a macabre way because of Ad revenue??
