I'd consider including donators as a third option. Few people are willing to leech or rat out the site if it cost them money.

More importantly this just encourages people to spam dumb or inane posts to reach that 300 mark.

Only problem there is that any random could sign up a new account and spend 5 bucks just to leak the team.

I'm not so sure 300 posts is more secure. You'd have to raise it to 1000 posts to be truly safe.

That being said, I think requiring a donation (probably a minimum of $10) is a much better safety net than 300 posts.

I think the requirements are fair and nice job coming up with them.

I think having an active member of the forum is more secure than having a new account that paid 5$.

If it's the bot you are concerned about, then don't worry. Like last year, it will be available to all VIP members (and of course team ck). And that's if we have one working for this year.

Last year we did have spam problems precisely because th requirements were clraik rank + 50 posts IIRC.

And that's easy to do in less than a week. 300 posts for someone who actively participates in the community shouldn't be a problem.

Anyone who joins JUST for the sake of knowing our team would be discouraged to have to post 300 times, in a short amount of time that kind of spam is easily detected and stopped.

I think it's a win/win situation.

And since mods will make exceptions there will probably be people who don't meet neither of the requirements and will still be on our team.
