You cannot be serious. I will help you since you seem to be unable to see the obvious.
Poutine is not like chili cheese fries. Gravy and chili, not the same. Cheese curds and fake cheese sauce are not the same. For the record poutine does have cheese curds, they do not melt easily, they are purposely made to hold their shape and have a sort of rubbery squeak to them when you eat it. The retarded packaging restaurants use actually says "squeak'rs".
. They are awful. Poutine can be good if you put enough toppings on it though. I am not a fan of the curds and gravy, but real poutine is just that...gravy and curds. And by gravy I mean the beef stock flour combo that everyone's mother makes with chicken or turkey or roast beef dinner. Gravy is not some code word for "thick liquid you put on top". It is beef stock and flour, from an instant package or made by hand. That is gravy.
Chili cheese fries (or pig slop laden with a bottle of exlax). While delicious is not cheese and gravy. The 'cheese' is not even cheese, it is like that cheese whiz crap you put on cooked veggies to make your kids eat them. Liquid cheese is no better than cheese from a can. But it is not cheese curds, no where close.
And chili is not gravy. If you put beans, meat, spices, and tomatoes into a mix no one will call that gravy they will call it chili. I am not sure why or how someone would confuse gravy with meat and bean mix.
Put ketchup on fries with shredded cheese. A 'sauce' and cheese. Would you call that the same as poutine or chili cheese fries? What about a baked potato? Potato with cheese and sour cream 'sauce'. Is that the same? No. What about Europeans or some Americans who grew up on putting mayo on fries, I have seen cheese mixed in as well. A sauce and cheese...not poutine or chili cheese fries. Not the same.
