As a born and bred Mancunian I'm heartbroken by this. To target adults is bad enough, but to go after an event where there will be mostly young people and children is even worse.

A venue I've been too many, many times too.

I'm currently sat in a coffee shop in South Manchester and reading online that there have been two further incidents this afternoon. A shopping centre has been evacuated for a suspicious package and a police raid and controlled explosion has been carried out about a mile away from where I am!!

Didn't know that's all it was, I just saw on FB feed that a friend had mentioned a Mosque on fire. Wasn't saying that they were comparable either or justifying anything myself!

Oh, I know! I wasn't implying that about you. I just saw 3 facebook posts on my wall about the mosque being on fire and I looked into it and no one was there, a passerby called the fire dept, but my idiot friends were already starting the "pray for islam" hashtag because the link they were using showed a mosque up in flames with pictures of people weeping.

Dude, I had to delete people because literally after every disaster (weather, bombing, or otherwise), they made it about themselves. They knew someone in EVERY circumstance. Things like this really need to stop. It's so horrific and extremely sad to hear about stuff like this on the news so damn often. I feel so bad for everyone who was affected by this, it's just so crazy and upsetting.
