NASA discovers Earth-sized planets in habitable zone
I've seen this in the media recently, and I think it's pretty cool that we're able to make these kind of discoveries. Who knows what will turn up next?
The question, "Are we alone?" has been asked throughout all of human history. We may be close to being able to prove that we are indeed not.
The planets are 40 light-years away in the constellation Aquarius, which is relatively close to us in the grand image of space. They are also all closer to their sun than Mercury is to ours, but their sun is very cool and water could potentially survive on the planets closest to it.
An artist's interpretation of what the planets could look like:
The discoveries will keep happening as our tech becomes better at detecting those light changes. One day we will get confirmation of life on other planets.
Frankly I hope it is Trump who slips and says something lol that sort of 'need to know basis' information that the Government would give to Presidents and they say don't tell anyone..but I hope he blabs out something along the lines of "we have found life elsewhere and we are still the best, greatly better than all of them you know!"

We probably won't be able to see them within this century but this is a huge step. It's amazing how far we've gotten with space!! I don't know a lot but reading about new potential worlds is astounding. Google Doodle somewhere also has a mini cartoon showing the Earth seeing the new planets, it's so cute!
