New here and love that this forum is here!

Maybe not the place for introductions, but health/fitness is my life so it seems relevant. Just joined here (love it btw) and this is my first post. I have a kinesiology masters and opened my own gym after graduating so hopefully I'll be able to help out people here who have any questions about things.

I'm currently doing IF (leangains version- sort of) and doing a 5x5 program. Anyone else here an IF fan?

Welcome to cK, glad to have you! I moved your thread to Introductions regardless so then more people can welcome you. That's cool you have your own gym. Are you a trainer, then?
Feel free to ask me if you have any questions!
    i love luna

I do some training, but my niche is small towns (pretty much no competition) so I don't have very many clients. I think I have ~10 now compared to 60+ when I worked at a big box gym

welcome to ck! that's really rad that you opened your own gym.

i actually do have a question. i have hypoglycemia and get dizzy a lot, so not super into exercise, but i'd like to be. the easiest way to keep my blood sugar up is sweets obviously, but a lot of them make me feel sick and would kind of counteract exercise. cx do you know of any exercises that i would be able to do at home that wouldn't drop my blood sugar too low?

Buns- have you tried eating fruits instead of your typical sweets? Apple slices and peanut butter are a good preworkout "meal" and are a much healthier alternative. As far as exercises go, it really depends on you. Some people with hypoglycemia can handle more than others. It also depends on what your goals are. Strength training/fat loss/maintenance/cardio/etc. Easiest tip is to just listen to your body. If it doesn't feel right, don't do it

Hmm, Kinesiology gets rid of all the prerequisites for nursing...
in the end no one ever knew what the outcome would be. So I guess you have to do your best to make a decision that you wont regret.

I had a few friends that were in nursing while I was doing Kinesiology and we had fairly similar topics occasionally. Medications mainly. God those are awful haha

Kinisiology is starting to become more accepted in the medical community. Most of the people I know that ended up going to work at hospitals do the exercise testing protocols. Wasn't my cup of tea
