If I could get a legit recipe, I'd do it myself! Although, nothing beats the pasteis from the end of the feiras, when the oil's not even light anymore, IDK, I think they are the best.

Some of Australia's desserts are things like Pavlova (named for the famous ballerina when she visited). It's pretty much a giant meringue cake thing, usually served with fruit.

Lamingtons are a basic sponge coated in chocolate and rolled in coconut.

The ultimate in Australian sweet treats, however, is the TimTam. I know a lot of you have probably heard of/tasted these before, but they're the bomb diggity. The middle layer of velvetty chocolate amazingness is the best. The 'stuff' in oreos has nothing on TimTams.

I just moved to Budapest, Hungary for a semester but I'm Latina and from Miami, Florida so for now I'm going to post about what I know and crave - Cuban food. Especially Cuban desserts.

Tres leches is a sponge cake soaked in evaporated milk and a shitload of sugar. I like it when the bottom is soggy so that when you lift it up with your fork it just drips with the sweet elixir of Jesus.

God damn you Cuban food. For you I will die morbidly obese and give no fucks.

EDIT: Also flan. I miss you.

Omg, the mango sticky rice is my favourite dessert in the whole wide world. I went to Thailand once and just bought one off some street cart. The taste was out of this world!
