Teddy Ruxpin! Unfortunately I do not have the one from my childhood but a few years ago we found a few sitting around a thrift store so I picked one up and it's currently in storage.

For me, it was the Super Nintendo. I remember being a spoiled brat kid and crying/throwing a tantrum because santa didn't leave me a super nintendo. Mind you, I was 5-6 years old at the time... but now that I look back, it was a dark time in my life, and this was the only thing that could make me happy (again, spoiled brat.) What made it worse is how much of an ass I was to my family only for the doorbell to ring, with a gift in front of the door, and sure enough, it was the super nintendo. My family was on a fixed income, and was poor. I was a kid and didn't understand how big of a purchase it was for my parents to make.
It brings up some bad memories recalling this. I hit it big with bitcoin decades later, and bought them each a house free and clear (they divorced in my late teens over money trouble) so this was my only redeeming factor.
I still feel bad about it though.. and feel kind of guilty for writing this post.
My Nintendo 64 for sure or Super Mario Bros 2!
best present ever
Best console ever! <3

This is super sappy, but my favorite present ever was from "Santa". Back in the day it was just me and my dad and he didn't have any money. One Christmas I had two presents under the tree one was a sweatshirt, and one was a very pretty gold necklace. I was only about 11 at the time and I woke up super ecstatic that Santa brought me something since I've been such a good girl that year. I was very upset, as children are, when I found out Santa didn't bring me anything! My dad ended up telling me that the sweatshirt was from him and the necklace was from Santa. I remember thinking that Santa was a lot better than my dad. I was a child I didn't know any better. It's still warms my heart that he was willing to make me think less of him so that I would be happy. I think him quite often for this, and it was one of the happiest times of my childhood.
