[+REP] Windows platform on Mac OS X?

    Hi guys!

I'm a noob when it comes to other platforms, so I need help figuring this out. Basically, I own a iMac and I would like to be able to play Steam games which are only available for Windows users. I'm looking for a way to install some sort of Windows platform on my Mac without it slowing down too much. My Mac is quite new and has a lot of available space, so I'm looking for the best option.

How should I process to make this work?

    Thanks!

@(you need an account to see links) Your best bet will be using Boot Camp and dual-boot between macOS and Windows.
VirtualBox/VMWare/Parallels are fine for stuff like running cK programs, etc. I don't think you'd be able to play steam games on a VM and I doubt "compatibility layers" like Wine/CrossOver would work

Thanks for taking the time to reply! <3

So are Boot Camp and Dual-Boot 2 programs that I can download somewhere? Do they cost something or are they free? I'm not sure to know where to start when it comes to "installing" both as I don't even know what they are. :') Would you care to help me out?

I used to play games using Parallels. Don't do it.

I suggest using bootcamp, which is free and comes with your system. What it basically does is it installs windows as a separate OS on your computer. It basically acts like two different computers. Downside is if you want to switch between the two you gotta shut it down. Program itself is free, you've gotta come up with the windows installation on your own.

I use Virtualbox on my Mac, as clraik programmers seem to favour Windows/PC haha.
