Teams are completely random, the only thing you need to do is this:

Replacing "Aura at clraik" with your opponent's username ofc. I think if you do that the random battle is unrated by default, but if it isn't just click "Random Battle" and change it to "Unrated Random Battle"

Yeah, just checked again, it's unrated by default . No need to change anything .

I said it does not give me the option to pick unrated random battle when I challenge someone, only random battle.

Yeah, when you challenge someone I guess points are not awarded or deducted so unrated random/random battle when challenging someone is all the same thing.
