HTS items aren't Neopoints so the NP/$ ratio might not apply? Besides I've seen people sell NP off active accounts for lower than 2$/mil so I don't think the ratio is hard-fixed.
I think that he (and us) just don't want the ratio to drop because one person is selling for lower than the rest, so the others feel they need to do the same just to get rid of it. It is HTS item(s) but if you post it on the TP for low NPs then you can sell it off pretty quickly; just tell them your price and the original, there are lots of resellers out there.
Mainly people don't want to see the economy of selling NP's go to the dumps like Runescape and many other games.
The thing is I don't have time in the day to sell these HTS items and nobody would buy items at $2/m when you can buy pure... What I mean is selling say 3 items worth 333k each for
The intention is good, I'm all for trying to maintain the economy but I've got to agree with bamag and conner. The whole 2$/1m thing is an absolute joke and near impossible to enforce. Put 10m up and you will get 5 posts saying you cant go below 2:1. Stick up an SoS, call it an auction and all of a sudden you can accept 15$ ... Stick up a 10m usuki all of a sudden you can now accept 7$ and no one say's anything. The trades section is littered with threads selling at whatever price they want. When a word along the lines of pinned, active, illegit is included in the post so who' really enforcing these rules?
You can try auctioning them off for prices lower than what its really worth. It'll take a while but you'll eventually get rid of it.
I've had a lot HTS items as well and auctioned them off in 1 hour auctions. Often they get no bids but I just kept doing it and lowering prices at times and they eventually sold.
