PoGo- PSA for iOS users regarding your security settings

If you haven't already seen, you might be interested in reading about how iOS users have given their google account access to Niantic. It has some people worried/deleting the app in panic. (you need an account to see links) has more information, including how to revoke the permissions without deleting the game. Niantic have acknowledged this as an unnecessary permission, and are working to fix it. If you're worried now and would like to remove the permissions yourself, here is how (credit to cnet):

You'll need to visit (you need an account to see links).
Sign in to the same Google account you used for Pokemon Go.
Click on "Pokemon Go Release" on the list (it should be near the top, where all Full Access apps are listed).
    Click Remove, then OK.

Android users aren't affected by this.
