I have a few "lucky eggs" what are these other eggs you guys are talking about? I ran a little over 5miles today, like 8k, does that count towards this total distance or whatever? Maybe I haven't gotten to that part of the game yet.

Those are an item that gives double exp for 30 min. Completely different. To hatch an egg, you need to go Pokemon, slide to the right tab, click an egg, click the incubator, and do the distance. You get eggs randomly from Pokestops, and can carry a max of 9 at a time.

I haven't had much luck with them thus far. I've only hatched 4 though I think. I wish I could discard the 2km eggs to make room for the 5kms
