Just hit level 23 after using my 3rd lucky egg. Caught an 800+ cp poliwhirl right after that (3500 stardust to power up). I already know I'm going to start Struggling to catch Pokemon. Seems like every pidgy and ratata are 300+ cp now.

Just got a Snorlax from a 10km egg, pretty stoked! Think I should start raising his CP? I'm level 14 atm, his CP is in the 500s.

I'd wait till you're about Trainer Level 20+ to worry about powering up Pokemon. It's possible you'll get another by the time you're in the 20s.

I've already made that mistake a couple of times before I really understood the game and wasted a bunch of stardust on a Pidgeot, and Magmar. Derp!

The servers came back up and I walked ~7km and caught a bunch of a couple handfuls of common Pokemon. But I encountered a Scyther (ran away) and everybody around me was talking about it.
