    Quick algebra question

For this problem, how would I finish simplifying it, or is that as simple as it gets?
    What's my definition of success?

Since both terms have a square root of 3 in them, you could factor that root out of both of them and put the new terms in parentheses.
    Like this: root3(3+4x)

    Like this?

Or am I interpreting that incorrectly?

Uhhh no, something got lost in translation
So there is a pair of parentheses, and inside those parentheses is (3+4x).
Outside of the parentheses is the square root of 3, because it was part of both those terms so it could be factored out of them and put outside.

    ohhhhhh gotcha
    So you're saying like:
    (3+4x) sqrt(3) ?

I suppose that makes more sense. I just wasn't sure how to combine the 4x with the 3 or if they stayed separate from each other

    You got it!
The 3 and the 4x can't be combined because they're not like terms - they don't have the same variables, so they have to stay separated.
