First Monday of the month for my hometown. I dunno about Ames though. I've never actually seen a tornado. Srsly.
Also, in a small-ass town just south of my hometown, their siren goes off every day at 5pm. It's gross.

hey @(you need an account to see links), remember about 2-3 years ago, a tornado came within 15 miles of carroll/ft dodge, it went either just north of my town by like 5 miles, or just south of i, i can't remember

It's pouring rain here. Nt sure if it's coming from your direction or headed that way (I'm a couple states away).
We had tornado warnings all last week...but we NEVER EVER get them here because of the mountains.

@(you need an account to see links), i think so? but it was late fall i think, and there were a crap load of twisters that year, hit a bunch of iowa towns, and then the big one in missouri i think was the same year?

Pretty sure we do not have sirens here in Canada. We hardly have any weather like that. I guess you can be thankful that if you don't watch TV then you still know when it is coming
