I prefer real books, I like holding them & turning the pages.
But I do have some "eBooks" AKA I downloaded the PDF of a book I wanted to check out to see if it was good or not online.
I definitely prefer real books, but after moving a few times with the gigantic collection I have now - it hurts to buy anything other than ebooks. Also - libraries rule for that reason
my dilemma is that i focus better when i read from a physical book, but those are expensive for uni so i end up reading half of what i'm supposed to for class because i can't focus on the free electronic scans of stuff
I prefer real books over ebooks for multiple reasons.
1) For reading comprehension, I find it much easier to be attentive to a book that is in my hands than an ebook. This goes for texts books, or literature for leisure. When we get documents at school in a PDF, I have to print it off, which brings me to my next point . . .
2) I prefer to be able to physically highlight, underline and draw/write in the margins of my textbooks. With law school, it makes things easier imo. Although a search feature is nice in ebooks, I like having everything highlighted, underlined, tabbed, etc.
3) Battery life of tech dwindles over time and just bleh I would rather not deal with that.
4) Reading in the sun is much more fun with a book than with my iPad (I know some devices have special settings for the sun but idk if my iPad does and idc)
