Just wanted to update you guys

I'm going through quite the rough patch right now so I haven't been as active as usual. I just found out that my brother overdosed on methamphetamines about a week ago and I was suspended from work for a week because of missing to be with him. This is my second suspense now and may lose my job if I get another bullshit "unexcused" absence. So yeah, that's what's up. Hope you all are doing well

If work cannot understand that, they're seriously lacking in empathy/basic humanity.

Thanks everyone. The barn is using me as an example basically and it's really frustrating having an hr representative so caught up in her power over employees that she lacks compassion and understanding. I'll be okay and I hope my brother will be. He was a rank below Sargeant before his deployment to Kuwait and fucked his life up when he got back. A lot of crap I've had to deal with already this year but I'm a stubborn Pollock and never keep my head down
