NeoQuest II Help!? :(

I just started playing NQII and I'm sort of lost, would love some help please!

Ok, so I'm in the start of the game, inside the Dark Cave, I just won against the Miner Foreman and I took the portal that appeared after his defeat. Guides tell me that I was supposed to be transported to Northern Meridell to then visit White River City BUT the portal took me back to Western Meridell and the only place I can visit there is Trestin Village :/ So I thought 'well, that's weird, I'll just enter the cave again and take the portal once more' so I walked all to the Cave again and the portal is now gone.

What happened? What can I do? Is this normal? Help

Once you leave the dark cave, you need to take the bridge to the far right of the screen.
If you're not using In-Depth Neoquest Guide, you should be - it's a lifesaver!!

Oh, and if the portal is gone, @(you need an account to see links), you'll need to walk back out the cave through the entrance you came in again.

I'm using Jellyneo guide, they didn't told me anything about that UGHHHHH
I shall continue with that one better, thank you. I guess I'll go now and waste another 10 minutes for walking my way out of the cave now hah the shame walk.

I should probably start a new game up. I looooove it, seriously, hahah.
I don't even know why.
But yes, definitely use IDNQ - bookmark that page! It has absolutely everything you need, and I haven't found anything else that is as thorough and helpful.

Thanks I have a silly question actually, I'm doing this mostly for the avatars but do we also get a trophie out of the game, or is it just for highscores or something similar?

You get a trophy, too!
Bronze for completing it on normal, silver for evil, gold for insane.
You'll also get a pure NP prize (not a lot, LOL) and one of 4 random items.

If you're going for the avatars, you'll get them all before the end of the game, but you'll be close enough that you should definitely just finish for the trophy.
