Its awesome. Never tried easy mac but the Kraft dinner they have here (about the same thing) is amazing. The cheese is just great.

I think adding the milk makes it better (unless you are lactose intolerant of course). I like easy mac- to me it seems just the same as the regular mac and cheese but really easy to make.
We frequently buy them for my daughter (she is 4, will be 5 in March) and she has me make them all the time. But for some reason she usually eats like half and doesn't want anymore, then she won't usually eat them reheated (but she will eat regular mac and cheese reheated if I add some milk before putting it in the microwave) so that they don't go to waste I sometimes eat the rest.
I will on the next one to see the difference. Been getting heart burn most of the night hah worth it though

I just realized there is cheese in it anyways, so someone who is lactose intolerant might have problems anyway even if they didn't have the milk (in regards to the lactose intolerant comment) although my nephew (who is only a couple weeks younger than me) is lactose intolerant and he has stuff with cheese if he takes his pill beforehand. I think cheese doesn't contain the levels of lactose of milk.
As far as the heartburn goes: I always have found dairy products soothing on my stomach (especially whole milk which I love (add a little chocolate syrup, not too much, and you have one my favorite things to drink taste wise)) I would think due to the calcium (not sure how much is in easy mac) it would help reduce stomach acid. But everyone is different. Are you maybe like slightly lactose intolerant (does it happen with other dairy products)? I've heard some people may have a minor degree of lactose intolerance and not realize it (I know for sure I don't, at one point when I was powerlifting (injured, maybe I could get back into it and would like to try, but couldn't get to the level I was at before) I drank like up to a gallon of milk some days with all the shakes etc. ). Enjoy though, it sounds like it is worth it for you as you said.

I LOVE EASYMAC!! The packaging is kinda small though so sometimes I have 2 packets instead of one.
Depends on the type of cheese. Cheese does contain lactose though. The fresher the cheese like a mozzarella or ricotta will have lots of lactose vs the more aged cheeses that are dryer like a parmesan or grana padano. The reason is the moisture. The moisture in cheese is whey, whey contains a ton of lactose so the more moisture (fresh cheese) the more problems a person with lactose intolerance will have. Easy mac cheese is hardly cheese, is it a dehydrated product of barely any sort of cheese quality. There should not be much of a reaction if anything from a person with lactose intolerance unless they add milk. But that can be avoided with lacrase pills.I think cheese doesn't contain the levels of lactose of milk.
Getting heartburn from eating easy mac is more likely due to the sodium and saturated fats...it is a junk food.
Fuck I love easymac. Diamond Macaroni Cheese is also a good time, though the sodium content is borderline irresponsible.
