I recommend downloading a program like CCleaner. Cleans all the crap from your browsers and deletes broken registries and such. Keeps my computer running nicely

I shut down my computer everyday. I feel that when I turn it on again the next day, it runs smoother.

I have a work computer as well and I never shut that thing off, lol. I just don't really care because we have an IT department to fix it if it goes bonkers.

Laptops I always keep on but my desktop I always shut down. I've had several blown power supplies from blown fuses or power surges. Yes I know it matters if I have special plugs but I don't lol.
check my guide to increasing chances of being unfrozen.!! (you need an account to see links)

No. I use an SSD for my operating system, which operates optimally when it's never rebooted.
