xD I think that if i would have used the / instead of the division I would have realized. Lol
Tricky problem.
1) Perform the operations inside a parenthesis first
2) Then exponents
3) Then multiplication and division, from left to right
4) Then addition and subtraction, from left to right
from (you need an account to see links)
You feel inclined to do 2(9+3) first but its actually 48/2 first.
Nobody uses the division sign anyways, most people just use / lol

Of course it hurts, its a spanking. How else would it work?
Weeellll technically 2(9+3) = 2(12) sooooo
I was taught BEDMAS in elementary school and it "must occur in a left to right order". I use calculators now and according to my calculator it says 288 so I will go with that until someone asks their calc prof and he or she says otherwise lol.
I learned how to calculate those type of questions when I was 12, c'mon guys!
[COLOR="#f75a6d"][SIZE=1]I'm no good at math, period. However, I just did the problem the way I was taught and got 288.
48
288...
but if you use another logic, can be another answer ^^
But if was: 48
