PEDMAS and BEDMAS are the same I guess. I learned with pedmas.

You don't work left to right if the problem has brackets or parentheses in it. You do the parenthesis first.
the answer is two.
parentheses, exponents, multiplication, division, addition, subtraction. that is always the order.
