I heard of this a while back but totally blanked on the name of it when I was trying to find it so thanks! If I can go back to university (funding is so complicated) then I want to study French and Japanese so this could help me get a head start before that or learn the languages if I can't get there.

Guys! If you love Memrise you should also check out duolingo.com
There is basically a language tree with different sections like basics, animals, food and drink, etc.
Then you complete each section by answering a couple of questions like translate this sentence or type what you hear.
There are Android and iOS apps for it and you can earn ingame currency to unlock stuff in the store. It gives you a fun and convenient way to pick up or revise a language!
