Do people actually pay for specific Pokemon? (Frequently)

Maybe it isn't that usual in the US, but I've seen a lot of pages (mainly in F where people are crazy buying 6IV pokemon and events. Most of them generated or pksaved, of course. (Mexico, Colombia, south africa)

I will admit that I've bought a shiny for like �3 on eBay for a friend but other than that I've not heard of people buying things frequently. There's not much point to the game if you do that, in my opinion, but I guess some people will

I'm pretty sure you can get emulators online but personally I play on the 3DS and the Wii
