How do you find out what career you truly love?

I have been struggling for many years figuring out what type of job I like best but I have failed.
I study MIS and I didn't like it because programing give me headache.
So I switched to Accounting, and I'm struggling in Accounting too.

You'll never know you're going to like something until you try it. Try everything, at any opportunity possible. At some point, you'll try something you REALLY like and obsess over it. If you're idle and don't bother to go out to try new things, you'll never find it. My advice is to just go out and do shit. Look at jobs available around your area/university studies available.

What interests you other than coding and math?

Follow your interests, not what you think a "good" job would be. My results would have gotten me into any course I wanted; it was the expectation that I go into medicine or law. I chose teaching instead, as I am passionate about literature and theatre, and wanted to share that with others.
You need to find something that you'll enjoy, otherwise life will be unbearably tedious.

I was born and raised in the city, but found I love farming. I love farm work, animals, the intense work out, everything about it. Had I never done some soul searching and traveling, I'd still be stuck working in a dead end job.

I dont have problem with math. It's the rules of accounting which giving me a hard time to remember.

I know I have to find something I enjoy doing. I'm struggling to find a job I love every time I wake up in the morning.

Do anything and everything and one day you will wake up and actually look forward to going to work! Once your job becomes a pleasure to do then you will have found your calling

They used to give us this test called "discover" in high school. I'll post a picture of it.. I'm not sure if the password or logon still works, but you're welcome to try it!

Also, you can do the Myers Briggs test for free and it will tell you about your personality and what kind of jobs they think you would be awesome at. (you need an account to see links)

    Job shadowing helps.
See if you can imagine yourself doing it for the rest of your life.

Something that helped me was the explore what subjects I enjoyed, and then see the possible careers from there.
Don't start with a career and try and make the parts of it work.
    You like math?
Go broader and see what other careers utilize math, not just accounting.
Keep your mind open, there's lots of careers that you may not think of off the top of your head.

I don't think I'll ever find something I truly love. I know I like interacting with people, but I've had dozens of tests taken, hours of therapy with a counselor and in the end I figured out that I would find my happiness elsewhere than in my work. I like what I study now and I think I will like my job, but what will really help me be happy is the other small things.. cooking dinner, reading a good book in the weekends, traveling, etc. I don't think your life has to be centered around your job. A job is like school. Your life isn't centered around it, but it's important. At least that's the way I see things.
